“Sandro’s landscapes bring us to places that even if familiar, through his lens and mastery of craft, they become someplace wonderfully new. His landscapes are exquisite visions of color and design made with the passion and poetry that is the man I know”.
Barbara Bordnick – Photographer
“When I think of a Sandro Santioli photograph, the first thing I think of is his unique use of color and design. No matter the subject matter, Sandro has a way of creating imagery that immediately connects with the viewer. Light, color and design are his signature”.
Arthur Meyerson – Photographer
“Sandro Santioli is a master photographer and I have the great pleasure to call him a good friend. We have spent many good times together teaching in Tuscany and have shared many spirited conversations about life and photography. His work captures the world in it’s most beautiful light. Sandro’s organization and use of colors and shapes shows the magical world that nature provides us and opens our eyes to see deeper and more clearly the glory of the world that surrounds us”.
Paul Elledge – Photographer
“Rarely has have I met a photographer with such grace, such empathy and such humanity”.
Gary Knight
“I’ve admired your vision, and your talent from the time we first in the early 90’s.
Aside from being an inspiration for me photographically…
I have always appreciated that you are a gentleman’s gentleman”.
Robert Farber

“You could go one step further to say that a large portion of Santioli’s architectural imagery is a play on the theme of identifying a hidden “twin element” in what might ordinarily appear to be insignificant or even irrelevant detail in a scene”.

“With his images, Santioli is able to virtually catapult the viewer into an alternate reality where progress is still looked at with a wistful sense of hope, in the same way that science-fiction cartoons were regarded before the first moon landing took place”.

“A strikingly keen amount of emphasis is placed on lines, composition, natural features, volume and viewing angles, all while illustrating how to manipulate color-infused backgrounds to give rise to entirely unexpected forms”.
